What's better than learning about the Viking Age? Eating at the same time!
On Tuesday 8 October 2024, I held an event at Stratford Library in conjunction with Cairns Libraries. Mikki Rhodes invited me to share my love of the Viking Age in a first for the region- Food of the Viking Age.
Attendees were treated to a 'Viking Age trail mix', a selection of offerings to snack on during the presentation. Later, a meal was prepared in real-time, and at the end of the event, attendees sampled the offerings and had the chance to try their hand at Viking Age textile creation.
